It also took me many views to spot something as simple as Detective's legs moving in the final shot. But yeah, this movie is so rewatchable and brilliant. And the handmade Misty City at the end is just gorgeous.

I wrote the DHIADW scene with a "sage" exposition character from another 3dmm movie in mind, and that turned out to be the best one because he gets attacked as Detective is walking away.

I've probably said this before, but in the first draft of the script, Detective was spotted by Patrick and shot, and bled to death throughout the final revelation. This was probably better, but I always wondered how that would've played.
