v3Dmm giving me issues

So, I've been trying to work on my terrorist-rat movie that doesn't have a title yet, and some other small projects, and anytime i try and import WAV files, MIDI files, or recording voices/sounds, it gives me issues.

WAV/MIDI files: Only gives me the option to choose .vmm or .3mm files, whcih are obviously not compatible for audio.
Recording voices/sounds: Doesn't pick up a single sound from the microphone, only faint, quiet static, or just nothing at all.
I would appreciate it most if anyone could help me with this issue.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, I've been having issues with some fonts, as it gives me the message that some letters are missing. I would appreciate it too if anyone can help with this issue as well.

(I originally gave the terrorist rat idea, I can also voice terrorists)

wav/midi: wav only works for sound effects (horn) and speech (lips) sections, the music section only works with midi, to import midi files for virtual movie maker, go to vanilla 3dmm and import the audio and make a 3mm file, then go to the vmm and import it using the 3mm file

recording: get an audio recording program like audacity, record the sound youse trying to make, edit and export as wav file

Thanks for helping, and if you want I can give you some roles for the terrorist parts of the movie. I'd be more than happy to have you on board.

The part I don't really get is the importing MIDI files, can you explain a little more?

I would like to have the roles

Also heres some steps if it helps you

step 1. go to vanilla 3dmm, that means straight up opening 3dmm and not v3dmm

step 2. make a blank 3mm movie and import the midi file into it, export.

step 3. go in your vmm film and go to the songs section and press the find music button, go to the 3mm movie and click on it and you should find the midi file, select the midi file and import it into the songs section

step 4. done

I record sounds on an external device like a USB sd card recorder and then connect it to the machine and put the files in a folder so they can be accessed in 3D movie Maker.

You can never trust the software will record audio in a stable fashion.
Plus, you can get the audio files in better quality with a USB SD recorder.

not true, you can go to the folder which has the midi in it and type the midi filename in the filename box at the bottom of the window and it'll work
