I wanna know some 3dmm history.

Why was the sniper movie genre made and what are its origins exactly? Because I've seen a lot of sniper films (even participated in a contest involving them) and I've wondered.

I think that Will Maltby was the original creator of 'The Sniper @" movies. Basically, the sniper movies were parodies that made fun and outright mocked things he and Chris Ward didn't like - from game companies to 3dmm members at the time. Then the sniper brutally assassinates said thing they were mocking.

I think the first sniper movie he made was 'The Sniper' and it was released somewhere in early 1999. In it, he made fun of the game developer and publishing company Eidos, for making another Tomb Raider game.

I remember one of the films title had- "The sniper at Andres the petty and childish can't let it go, and is a f***ing dickhead."

Quite literally that's what I saw, the film was pretty good though.

That movie about sniping Andres was made by Andres himself and not by Will, if I'm not mistaken, and was ironic and self-depricating. Even though, at the time, they hated each other and Will was about to quit 3DMM.

I think Chris and Will made a sniper movie to a similar affect of shooting up 3dmm, except they didn't use the sniper.

Instead they used their 3DMM personas (Patrick and Gustave respectively), to shot only one guy at like a table for submitting complaints or smth.
