Funny story, I started working on this about a year ago and promptly forgot about it until now.
Q&A "Why aren't they all the same actor?" Too many textures. Cycling through them would've been a PAIN. "Who are all those other ghosts? Did you make them up?" It's no surprise you don't know who they are. They haven't appeared in as many games as the main four. "Where's Kinzo/the gold ghost from Arrangement with glasses?" I haven't made them yet. They're the only ghost to have glasses, and so I'd need to modify the ghost model (and possibly even the textures) to give them glasses, and in turn, even redo the animations completely. I don't really feel like it at the moment, especially considering Misfit Model's animation system can be wonky at times (especially when selecting vertices), so Kinzo will have to wait. "How did you get those eyes-only textures to work?" 3DMM's palette has a bunch of magenta in the spots that aren't occupied by the actor colors, and when that magenta's used, 3DMM interprets it as transparency. It's a pretty nifty trick. |
