My Dinner with Tom Bown

I made this for the Date with Bown Contest that ended up not happening. It would have been judged solely by Tom Bown, so it's very much tuned exclusively to his sensibilities.

This is my first 3DMM movie in, uhhhh, 16 years?? And it will probably be my last because this software barely works on modern operating systems.

hate to say this but my recording is superior, specifically in the audio. You still havent fixed the bloated sound your recordings have.

Hahaha this was awesome. There were a few references I'm sure I didn't get, but the animation and style were terrific, and the references I did understand were hilarious (the Mulholland Drive scene, in particular).

One reference I didn't get was who was that guy with the shotgun? I assume it's an old picture of a 3dmmer.

All round great job, HMC! It's all as well that the contest never happened because there is no way anyway would have topped that.

Alright haha, I’ve watched this about five times now, it’s really fucking good. I’ll put out a review for the movie soon, overall it’s hilarious and I’m glad to have been a producer for this. Another win for Topz Studio.

Fucking loved this! I mean of course I did because it’s a reference to many of my favourite things but it’s also just legitimately really funny with a great aesthetic and amazing use of mods that ties all the references together well. I really laughed at the subversion of the “trapped into dinner by someone I’ve been avoiding” part. Also a very good use of custom hands.

Really excellent stuff, what an end to your use of 3dmm!!!!
