After years of searching for a Blender auto UV map addon, I finally found one, and this means we can now make MD2 models without manually UV mapping textures in Misfit.

Download the addon, install
Blender, then add the plugin by going to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons and clicking the install button in the top right and selecting the addon zip. Then uncheck the "Enabled add-ons only" button.
Now, go to blender and import your model through File > Import > [model type]
Now, open the material combiner tab in tools by expanding the hidden tab next to the viewport controls.
Select the MatCombiner tab, and at the bottom of the menu that opens there'll be a button to "Install pillow", click this (not pictured below)
Now, click the "generate material list" button.
Click "Save atlas to...", then choose a folder and save the image file.
Your model is now UV mapped! Be sure to
export your model again as an OBJ and you can now use it for Mixamo or Misfit.
