You could run Boot Camp, wherein you install an actual windows partition

There's Parallels, which will run a Windows virtual machine from within OSX

There's VMWare Fusion, which will sort of do what Parallels does but only run the actual program and not start up a windows VM which is cool

And then there's some dumb shit with Wine which is a huge pain in the ass and not worth it

Boot Camp and Fusion are your best bets, and Boot Camp is free if you have a copy of windows

can you use those programs on windows?
Ive come to realize 3dmm just won't run on vista for my computer. Tried the orb remover thing as well. Could it be because my cd is beat up pretty bad? The only errors i'm geting are loading scenes, props and actors, everything else boots up fine without shuting down.

have you done the no-CD trick? if so, it's definitely not the disc. if not...do it (copy everything in the 3DMOVIE folder on the CD into the Microsoft Kids\3D Movie Maker folder on your hard drive)

Hey I need help!

The TunaFilms and 3dmm Studio mirrors don't work and the Lock'N Toad never loads

Can you put another link for 3DMM that ACTUALLY works?

Lock 'n Toad seems to be working for me. Goat, do you mind hosting this on 3dmmfiles? If not, I can go ahead and upload it.

Was this the default folder? Also, you are sure you downloaded/extracted all of the files?

If you want to create a 3dmm torrent you're probably gonna have to seed it yourself basically forever. I doubt it'd be nearly a popular enough download to sustain itself otherwise.

And 3dmm actually works better on Windows 7 than on Vista - the MIDI problem is gone (or so I've heard)

no, but please do so, that'd be bomb

yes. As long as you don't have any programs that utelize ogg vorbis codec. Cuz it's kind of a bitch to turn on/off in 7.

Can I install 3dmm and No-CD after download if my disk isn't in the disk drive?
(My disk drive is broken and 3dmm uninstalled itself) I can work on 3dmm at my friends house but I want it back on my PC.

Yes, just download 3dmm from the link in this thread. It replaces any need for the disk.

I've had to redownload 3dmm onto my new computer but I can't get it working, it installs fine but it wont work because it can't find the CD, I've followed the instructions, moving everything into the 3dmm folder in program files etc but it still wont work, I've tried installing no CD and that too is asking for the CD...

I downloaded the ogg vorbis thingy and still nothing. It's a Windows 7 but surely it can work?

Do you have the CD?

I used my 3dmm CD, and then did the copy-files-from-it-and-paste-into-MS Kids technique, just like the good old days. Worked fine on my Windows 7
