Alright, thanks. I'll try it. I just wanted it to be exactly like I remember, and from screenshots of the expansions I've seen it looked liked it changed the UI and everything.

Ugh, now all the expansion pack installers are having a write error, so I'm using Uniextractor to manually extract the files. Where do I put them?

EDIT: Never mind, I think I found where. I'm gonna test this soon.

if you have any additional problems feel free to make a new thread, this thread probably doesn't get much traffic

Did everything stated in the instructions.
Downloaded the no cd patch, but it asks for the cd to install it?

wait, isn't that what i did when i first got the program? resulting in the 'famous' JDR REVOLUTIONS incident where to watch the movie everyone had to temporarily fuck up their installation of 3DMM just like i did to watch it. i'm such a badass.

Does anyone have 7Gen working on Windows 7? Just downloaded it and the actor extractor is telling me that it can't find 3dmm, even though it's filled in the correct path on "3dmm path".

yeah it should work fine. you SURE it's the right path? if it's 64-bit, 3dmm is probably in the Program Files (x86) folder, not just Program Files...

Yeah, it picked out the (x86) folder itself and I've double-checked that it's actually in there. Tried to install NoCD just now and that can't find 3dmm at that path either. This is weird.

I'll probably just reinstall 3dmm and see if that helps.

Edit: That didn't work

Hey, had the computer completely rebooted, some asshead tried to attack our computer. Nothing is lost but we had to reupload everything, but now im getting this.

Does the "Ogg Vorbis Codec remover" solve this problem?

It's worth trying, but I think the error for Ogg Vorbis looked different than that. Have you checked whether "sharecd.chk" is even in your 3dmm folder?

Not sure about the converter, but the entire midi library is available as mp3s here

Yup: http://www.3dmmfiles.com/uploads/hom.../Spider2.1.rar

I assume this is everything, I had to just copy all the files from my spider directory into a rar

Well, 3dmm was running fine, now its back to the"opps something went wrong" bull

Any ideas? I just uninstalled everything, restarted, then reinstalled everything, put the contents of 3dmm100 into microsoft kids 3dmm. Nadda, same crap, the "opps" error. This is some bullshit, was working on a movie to be released soon.

EDIT: Never mind, just looked around a bit and found out it was the two files "msacm.vorbis" and "vorbis.acm" that caused the problems.
I deleted them, now it runs fine. Although I know messing with these registry files can do damage, so back them up if you can.
Refer to this thread everyone with the same problem, it works on Windows 7 now, amen. Back to movie making!

Back up your movie files too, I've heard of Windows 7 nuking 3dmm files before. Dunno to what degree, but better safe than sorry.

i downloaded PyQ, and it's the .exe file, obviously.. but it doesn't work? i'm opening it, dragging the sound files across and nothing is happening, they are the exact same in 3dmm, it sounds horrible. anyone know what's wrong with that, or if i'm doing it wrong?

Try running it via command prompt and following the instructions.
Also put your audio files in the same folder as PyQ for simplicity.

Also pretty sure it requires Pyhton to be installed.

Otherwise, not sure bro.
