Really? Wow! I didn't get that reference at all.

Anyway, this is a seriously awesome movie. I remember how impressive it was at the time of release, and it's still just as cool and fun to watch today.

The Stranger series is probably stylistically the best 3dmm series ever.

I watched this again and had to bump it. Still the best film about Gustave wandering around in the desert ever made.

I wonder, is there any possibility of getting a zip of the soundtrack? I know this is FIVE YEARS AFTER THE MOVIE'S RELEASE and all, but I've always wanted to hunt these tracks down, and now that I've tried, I know how hard some of them are to find.

haha, sorry dude, but i don't have those mp3's anymore. most of them, i'm sure, you'll be able to track down somewhere. don't know about 'chitlins, whiskey & skirt' from 'full throttle' though. that may be hard to find. all songs are listed in the credits if i remember correctly, so good luck finding (most of) them.

edit: aaron, you should really consider doing stranger 5. i know i'm a stubborn prick when it comes to this but i really really don't know anybody else who'd be up for it. when speaking of passion for the subject, only you could do this.

I'm afraid I'd say a no go on that. The style would have written Aaron Haynes all over it, no offence. Sure Aaron is definitely the man for the job when it comes to passion but the style of Stranger is so unique that the only one capable of pulling it off would actually only be you, Jordi. Take me for example, working on a Stranger movie would mean so much but my style would totally ruin the movie and the overall feel of a movie is what makes it good. Is it the lack of motivation or time that prevents you from doing it yourself?

I found all the Tito & Tarantula stuff, still working on everything else.

That sounds like a Project. And to a smaller degree I agree with Anders, it would be a close approximation of your style (I think I have a good grasp of what you like, especially in this series), but it would be your style as interpreted through me. Frankly, you're the closest thing to a 3DMM auteur, and Stranger in particular is your stylistic playground. I would love to help you put it together, come up with a few ideas or shots, and do some of the grunt work, but it's not Stranger if you're not the man at the helm.

I might be willing to co-direct it with you, though -- can I see some of your plans and ideas for the movie to get an idea of where you're going with it first?

Co-direct, YES. That was the word I was looking for. Co-directing would work!
