e: I loved this. It's a perfect blend of sci-fi and comedy, and the western moments, however few, are still nailed down perfectly. More detailed review later.
I want that review seriously I want it

I've rewatched this just to take notes for the sequel about a week ago and It's not as good as I remember it being, pacing is worse than I remember , might be because of desynchronization.

Watched Texan Time-Travel and its sequel a few times recently, and I’m starting to get why Old Rivers thinks this one is better. The 2nd movie is a lot less focused on the characters and more on the animation and action. I’ve been saying this for awhile now but great animation and action stuff (especially the stuff Pokerman did for the sequel) has been done to death in 3dmm, it’s just not interesting to me any more. Texan Time-Travel is so much more unique, as I was trying to find more movies like it I really just couldn’t because there’s not a lot of 3dmm movies that blend action AND character so well together like this movie does. I mean the sequel does do some of it but it’s a lot more boring in comparison. Although I do still really like how killing off Owen was done.

This movie def has a vibe to it that ttt2 doesnt really have but ttt2 has better animation

I like them both equally tbh. I think there’s things ttt1 has that ttt2 doesn’t and vice versa. I appreciate the character and story the first one has much more, but the second one is more fun to watch for the animation alone. One of the strongest things ttt1 has over ttt2 for me is the scenery. It’s got an awesome vibe, and looks more futuristic and intimidating. Getting to see oden and Owen experience this environment makes it all the more mesmerizing and intimidating. Even interior areas look big, awesome, and have such a great feel to them. Legit some of the best “cinematography” I’ve ever seen in 3Dmm.
