That's why I was hoping there would be a way to take those new fully 3d maps that other guy is making and mod them into "The Movies"
That program is limited in many ways, but it has a decent lipsyncer.
My plan was to use that for talking scenes or camera pans. And use 3dmm for the rest

absolutely, but I doubt anything like that will happen. it'd be a godsend if it ever was added though

it looks to me more like 3dmm is just getting openGL shaders added to it but I could be wrong.

either way, amazing feat all the same!

It's on my to-do list!

This basically sums up my current goals at the moment. But as time goes on I will be reimplementing the software, and adding new features once I understand more of what's going on natively inside 3DMM.

I want to have a new file format that saves camera animations, parent-child relationships (holding objects in actor's hand), and so on. The editor will have new features too. (multi select? textures with scroll bars?) These will come as the project matures.

Would this also include translucent shades?

@JT Copper yes!

The github link will be up as soon as I finish some changes to the UI code. The OpenGL is currently overlayed on top of the window, so pop up windows are underneath the render which looks bad.

kinda the least I can do.. I really want to help support the project more in the future. 3dmm made a giant impact on my life, and if this ever gets off the ground, it will no doubt kindle creativity in many more people

I remodel them, and the thread is kinda buried, as well as my progress in remodelling the characters (actually i do rest of the movie with them: environment, animation, or such things as raindrops on windshield of remodelled Footman's Car with Patrick inside, which are pain in the ass btw). I will create the characters as their time on screen will come, then i will update you guys

Hmm...

What about a model where one of It's actions is the mouth just sorta flapping up and down.

Already we have the characters flapping their arms around to signal talking, maybe we could make a model who does that, but also kinda does pseudo mouth movement? If we made that...

IIs that possible?

It's surely possible, but that's more like a jaw dropping, not lipsynch.

Thanks, that star which appears in right bottom corner bothers me as hell, though.
