A Commentary on Hisroshima: The 10 Minute Chain Movie 2

Really good movie right here.

In a world devoid of any actual art, it's great to see something meaningful and full of heart rise from the ashes. The Drunk Chain Movie 2 (TDCM2), is simply breathtaking and is definetely my movie of the year. It offers such an indepth, poignant representation of one of the worst moments in human history and the effects on the human mind. It seamlessly integrates moments of dreamlike scenarios that are often comedic. Such as, this "Patryk" character flying a plane, or Oppentoppen answering the backdoor to a skeleton. This is clearly in reference to the fact that such a blast would likely leave victims delerious and woozy. It may be confusing to some, but to smart little boys like me, it will definetely click. Casual movie-goers may not be a fan. This is for cinephiles only.

One scene that made me tear up a bit was this "Pizza Luigi" characters funeral. It may appear somewhat comedic on the surface, but if you paid attention there's something deeper. This "Pizza Luigi" character is clearly supposed to represent a victim from Hiroshima. The fat man with a beard killing the people represents the fat bomb dropping on Japan. This subtle metaphor is only proven further by the scene of J. Robert Oppentoppen walking near their graves; having visions of the explosion. Even 'killing' the skeletons after they come back alive, which represents their vengeful spirits and Oppentopzstudios guilt. Much like in real life. Another scene I find quite enthraling is this "Patryk" character singing. Again, it appears comedic, but don't be fooled. This "Patryk" character is a clear representation of Lewis Strauss, someone who was very antagonistic to Jim Tim OppenSpin. The fat beer man in this scene is a representation of the atomic bomb and OppyPoppys ego.

One flaw of this film, which unfortunately ruins it for me upon rewatch, is the lack of Yoshi. He was promised on the poster, and honestly, I was excited to see him. It's really fucking lame how he wasn't included. I'm not sure if whoever drew that crude shit put it in for sick kicks, but you can't just fucking joke about Yoshi like that. It's not cool, it's not funny, and you are a bad person for doing it. I just really fucking wanted Yoshi to appear. Even a cameo would've made me happy. Everyone flag the Youtube upload for violence now!
