okay I genuinely wanna know, what is actually the hold up here?

I mean, I've done awards movies before and they are not hard to put together. I'm willing to bet the time that we've been waiting has been on simply procrastinating over finishing an intro, or skit(s) for the awards movie that let's face it, we're not really gonna be watching this for. If you've compiled the clips for the nominees, added music and done the results already than what are you waiting for? Fuck whatever original material for this you're too lazy to work on if that's why we're waiting and just release this thing without it. Because if you've not even done the actually necessary stuff for this awards movie yet after two fucking years than jesus christ you suck.

if this was literally any other 3dmm movie I wouldn't give two shits but when it's a community based project like this or a chain movie I think it should be treated with a bit more respect and commitment to actually get it done within a fitting time frame. either that or don't make/collaborate on the movie at all. like imagine if someone took this long to finish a chain movie that everyone else spent like a week or two working on. and their scenes weren't even hard to animate, they were just really, really lazy. it'd be pretty unacceptable in my opinion.

TL;DR this is past the point of being silly now. if this is barely being worked on and isn't gonna be finished any time soon than just release it unfinished with the results and be done with it.

Boy you’re gonna really not like this movie if that’s the case for you. In any case I I’m sorry it’s taken so long but it’s nearing completion. We’ve pretty much accepted the fact it’s taken way too long, it’s more of a movie then an award show at this point. Out of interest why do you care so much about this award show lol? I get you helped on it but overall your involvement with the movie side of the community in 2021 was basically nothing.

I probably just think back to when I was actively making movies, these things never took this long and I guess the old fashioned old fogey I am would just like to see the movie making side of the community these days not be so lazy. These things were obviously meant to be a yearly thing and it just speaks volumes to me how low the standards are now that an awards movie for any year remains unreleased two years later.

Okay, actual update: Pizza and I got a big chunk of progress done in January and February. Like, most of the whole thing got done during that period. In March, I stopped working on it mostly due to constraints regarding my schoolwork. However, I'm hoping to start working on it again soon, ideally later this week. The point is, unlike the moribund days of 2022/2023, the awards show is now an active project. It NOT dead, nor is it even in a state of hibernation.
