Screen area is 544x306, but you know that bit already. Centering it over the 3DMM window is the tricky bit, but once you've done it once, it will remember the position.

In the video settings (From the Record Screen bar, Tools>Options, then "Inputs" tab and "Video Settings" button) capture using the Techsmith Screen Capture Codec (comes with Camtasia) at 30FPS. This will give you some huge raw files, but you can convert them to H264 or whatever else you like later on. This pretty much ensures as little quality degradation as possible. Again. It'll remember this stuff, so you only need to do it once.

Once it comes to exporting, export it as something that will let you use the H264 codec, typically mp4 or mov. Video hosting sites don't need to fuck about with those as much to make them work, so they process quicker and you don't have to go through yet another round of compression down the line. The cool thing about Vimeo is that it'll take videos of any size and aspect ratio, so you can just export at 544x306 no bother.

As for sound, Record System Audio should work fine. Just be sure to mute everything else.

Any possibility that we can get the online VM version of 3DMM to run on my Android phone.

It'd be nice if could animate a short entirely from a touchscreen phone!

I capture 3DMM shorts in 540x304; since I figure that truncation of a few vertical and horizontal lines is no biggy.

Sticky this or at least put a link to it in the expansions thread. It works brilliantly.

Haha, sorry Rabid. I posted that as a quick reply from Page 1. Was it already stickied when I made that post? I thought I checked before I submitted it.

But yeah, good work, Pizza + Rabid.

Try downloading the OVA file again. It sounds like you have an incomplete/corrupt file. It should be 1.26 GB.

*bump*

Will there be a VMware version?

(notice the bump, since this thread is old)

Just run Windows XP in a VMWare and download a copy of 3DMM. Also, no need to call for a bump. This thread is a sticky, meaning it will stay up on the top of the board as long as its tagged as a sticky.
EDIT: If you need a copy of Windows XP, I'll upload it to my Mega account as soon as I can.

Go to Devices option of your VM and click on the Shared Folders option and add the folder you want to share with

After a refresh (sometimes restart) you should be able to find the folder in your network locations
