The Assassination of Ben Franklin

This was made for the unsuccessful Benjamin Franklin contest. I think I'm the only person who finished their entry lol. Not a fan of this movie, it was rushed, half-assed, and I didn't get to do much of what I wanted to do since I put it off and had a deadline. I also find most of it cringe. Hopefully you will understand why I was hesitant to release this. Watch at your own risk!

I appreciate it, but I disagree. The animation is a lot more like moving action figures than I'd like it to be. Even if it's intentional at some parts. This whole movie is just disappointing to me. Originally, the kid was from the future, and went back in time to kill Ben Franklin because he failed his history test. He was gonna be obsessed with hating Ben Franklin basically. Killing Ben Franklin was gonna cause a chain reaction where JFK never got shot, and the kid also hates JFK, so he has to go back and stop himself from killing Ben Franklin, it makes little sense, but it's funny. Which I think is funnier than just a random kid wanting to kill Ben Franklin because he wants to (even if I think it's still a little lame looking back). Maybe one day I'll remake this movie with more of what I was originally gonna do, but I really don't think that's gonna happen anytime soon lol. This movie just kinda annoys me to look at now. I also rushed the second half really badly. Basically everything after the walking scene was made in 1 week. I have no idea how you didn't point out how dogshit the ending was. It literally ends on the kid dying by a random lightning strike lol. I didn't even set up anything with lighting in this movie about BEN FRANKLIN. WTF!!! It would've been really easy to set it up too. Even jusr random strikes throughout the movie. The only thing I'm still proud of is the intro and the scene where it pans through the wall. I think that still looks sick and has good timing.

The movie also has a glaring fuck up... in the beginning he's writing the constitution and not the declaration of independence. That was not an intentional joke fuck up. The only historically accurate thing is this movie is the skeletons.

This is generally my attitude when making 3d movies, but that's only if I don't have the idea and the voiceovers recorded, then a leading script written down before I make the movie.
