but yeah, I have to agree it would get a bit stupid, didn't we have them years ago at ezboard or even here really early on when the board moved? The COW names are good enough as it is. That place is as anything-goes as it seems to get round here so I kind of like everything being kept there.

Would be nice if we could change the names ourselves there though. would be a lot more noticeable than just changing your title to something silly just to take advantage of the laid back nature of COW

I think it'd be cool to have more forum roles.

Maybe I'm being dense, but is it really difficult to track join dates and other such things in user titles?

Like looking around and seeing "Director" for anyone with like 10 releases, or "Reviewer" for 40 reviews and something like "Original Member" for 2001's and maybe something that distinguishes "Moderators of Whimsy" or something would be really awesome.

yea, but what if someone has 10 movies AND 40 reviews? Which one would they be?

but I agree, it would be fun.

Or maybe what 3dmm has inspired them to do (we all know 3dmm helped us get into what we're into in some way or another)

like film maker, musician, animator, or 3dmmer, for the people who are still 3dmming

actually, fuck that Idea. Although there should be something to distinguish active 3dmmers and not, so the noobs can get SOME recognition

and all the tools who game it up can be laughed at

but that goes against goat's wishes. He wants moderators to definitely be classified as moderators..

so if anything, he would have to make it not possible for moderators. In which case, the moderators would be missing out and cry.

Or both, with an '&' sign inbetween? Would reveal the most productive members, but may push their avatar down quite a bit. Hm.

or maybe some sort of priority thing. like goat would agree, its probably more important that haynes is labelled as a super mod than as a director for example

What about multiple titles or would that look silly? It wouldn't really extend a post that far. Even just 2, one title for what Goat wants you to be, and a secondary custom title?

let us just have our own names in CoW. I mean what's REALLY different than letting Kyle and Rudi decide them for us?

....

nothin'

How about 2 titles, one saying senior member and the other saying what you'd like. Senior members could be the only ones to have the other title; hence noobs wouldn't be able to.

no offence but that's a terrible idea! Plus you yourself wouldn't even benefit from it, surely?

I've seen some forums where the titles are used to specify between "male" and "female", and I think that would be an excellent idea to impliment here at 3dmm.com
