Deaf. I mean, I'd be missing out on a lot, especially music which I love, but I'd never have to hear the sickening din of human life again, either.

some people who are blind can use echolocation. an expert at it can make out the smallest details of a room with ease. they can "see" everything except things like text or tv screens.

and I'd rather learn echolocation over non-verbal communication
