A scary story involved Tom Kearns (true story)

i wasn't involved in this particular incident, but i'm going to check it out tomorrow night.

Tom Kearns and several of my friends decided to check out this abandoned barn near my old school. the barn is on this weird set of property. there is a MASSIVE corn field surrounding it on all sides. the only part where there isn't a corn field is the stone driveway - the driveway is really long, about a mile. it leads up an old, decrepit barn and a mansion-type house - both of which are abandoned. the house used to be a school for crazy kids.

so anyway, Tom and my friends snuck into the basement level of the barn through a window. they were walking around in it, exploring it, when they heard something / someone running around by the window they had used. this passed and they continued exploring. they found a statue of the Virgin Mary - its mouth had been busted out of the face, leaving a big indent, and the eyes were covered in this pitch black shit. Jeremy, who had been to the barn before, said last time he was there, the statue was hanging by the neck from the ceiling by a chain. sure enough, they looked and found a chain lying next to it. as they were looking at the statue, they heard some fall or move in the same room as them.

so essentially, someone had been following them. now, this is VERY weird because the property they were on was entirely abandoned and is about 10 acres in size... and about 95% of that is GROWN corn field, the other 5% being the house and barn. the corn field surrounds the property like a fence in all directions, so the only way someone could've gotten to them was if they were actually on the property at the time, or walked up the long-ass driveway.

as Tom pulled out, they were driving on a main road to go home. suddenly, an SUV accelerated, seemingly out of nowhere, up behind them, right on Tom's tail. his hazard lights were on and his high beams were also on. he was riding Tom's ass down the road for a while... his brother Matt and his friend Jeremy said they heard screaming from several different people in the car. they also heard shit being thrown from the car at them... metallic objects. Tom tested to see if they were being followed by making last minute turns. the car followed every single turn he made. finally, after minutes of being obviously chased, Tom made a turn and the car went straight.

now, we're going back tomorrow night to check it out. Tom has footage of the statue on tape and it's fucking freaky as shit. i'll try to upload that, along with the video of tomorrow night. share some of your scary stories, too.

Oh and scary stories? well, I woke up during some major surgery, once.

Is that scary? I hope so.

i saw a special about that on 20 / 20 and i've been scared about surgery ever since. apparently, there is a phenomenon where people wake up during surgery because their anesthetic wears off and they can feel their skin being cut, etc... but they can't move or speak because of the drugs they've been given. could you actually feel it? what'd you see?

Oh, I have one, nothing bad happened, but it was scary as fuck cause we didn't know.

Me and a few of my friends last halloween just hung out, and at about 10 at night one of the girls had to go home, and we walked her home. She said we'd hang on the porch a bit, cause her parents left a few minutes ago.

Well, we walk to her house, and the door is open just a little bit. Her parents' car wasn't there, but the garage door light was on. So we were all scared to go in, and I decided to go in and check it out. I picked up a nearby plate and held it like i was gonna use it to break it on someone's head. So I walk into the first room(her den), and I was walking into the second room. About 4 other people came in too. My one friend Mike(Aph0x) stayed outside. Me, Jon(Ophe0x), and Kevin (Vilikus) are walking around when Mike goes, hey did anyone go into the garage? And Jon went no, why?

And he goes cause the light just turned off. I looked at the door to tthe garage, and we all bolted out the front door. Since I'm large I almost ended up crushing everyone. Anyways, we got the neighbors next door, but no one was in the house.

Now, here's what happened.

Her parents left probably 30 seconds before we got there. They left the door a little open cause they couldn't find the extra key to the house for her(I think.) And since they just left, the garage light was on, and it automatically turns off after a few minutes.

Just shows when your scared shitless, the littlest things could be scary as fuck.


And one time we went ghost hunting near my house at this burnt down mansion that used to house metally ill people. All of our pictures had orbs in em. Like all different color orbs. Yeah.

I sat up and looked around, and both my legs were cut right open ... they were in the middle of plating them together. There was blood everywhere, and I later learned that I needed a blood transfusion cuz they messed up one of my legs and needed to re-open (which was right when I woke up) I couldn't feel a thing, and nothing really registered... I mean, I could see the bones and tendons in my hips, and my muscles all twitched when I sat up. But I couldn't feel anything.

I looked around, I felt REALLY warm, very, very warm. Although I couldn't speak or anything. Anyway, about 5 seconds after sitting up the anethesist took my arms, lowered me down... with force but without force if you get what I mean -- he was assertive and I just let him lie me down, and then he placed the mask on my face and I went again.

The next thing I knew I was in recovery, but my eyes were closed and I couldn't move, not even open my eyes. There was a lady trying to shake me awake... i was awake but I couldn't tell her... after a while I finally managed to raise an arm and croak "I'm awake" so she left me alone after that.

So yeah, that's my story.

EDIT: The surgery ended up being 12 hours long, and the doctors refuse to tell my parents that I woke up, even when I mentioned it to them while my parents were in the room. They confirmed it for me in private, though.

I used to walk my dog my dog in the early morning before school in Central Park, and one day as I was walking him I noticed someting dark up in a tree. It was about 5:30 am and it was November, so I couldn't see that well. I kept staring at it and went closer to the tree for a better look, and I could suddenly tell it was a human body. I freaked out and called the cops from my cell and waited for them. When they showed they shined their flashlights up and it turned out to be a girl who had hung herself the night before. Ever since then I've had a phobia regarding people hanging themselves. That story still freaks me out.

we live in a wooded area... back-country area. alot of really WEIRD, fucked up stuff happens here. i'll tell some more stories as i think of them. most of them happened when i wasn't there... and mostly when we were little kids. here is another infamous story, not involving me:

Tom Kearns, his two brothers, and his neighbors were playing flashlight tag in his yard. now, before i continue, i have to give a little background on his area to make the story a little scarier. Tom has a big set of woods at the bottom of his driveway, in front of his house. past the woods, about 1 mile away, is a huge plot of land surrounded by forest. there is one huge stone mansion and two smaller, two-room buildings. it used to be a rehab for people who had gone insane from drugs.

so anyway, they closed it down because one of the patients was rumored to have killed another. once, me and Tom checked out one of the small buildings and found a toilet full of blood - but on with the story... so anyway, that building is about 1 mile from Tom, within walking distance.

now, Tom and company were playing flashlight tag at night, around 10 PM. these were the years when the rehab had been abandoned. Tom's older brother, Mike, is fairly tall. so Tom was wandering around the edge of his woods looking for people. suddenly, he saw someone in all white wandering across the field next to the woods toward the rehab. he started yelling "Mike, i got you! stop walking!". he thought it was his brother, because the figure was tall, until he realized his brother was wearing a black Bulls jacket. the person kept walking in the direction of the rehab without saying a single word or looking back. Tom then added that he was wearing what appeared to be a long white coat or possibly a straight jacket.

he ran away and told everyone, but when they returned, the man was gone.

My grandparents' house is haunted. A man killed his family and then killed himself in that house. It was a long time ago. Anyway, one time my aunt was visiting there. When she went to sleep in one of the rooms, blood started dripping from the ceiling. She told my grandma and grandpa. They all went to the attic (where the man killed himself) but there was no trace from where the blood was coming from! This is only one incident, there is ALWAYS something that happens when people visit the house. My mom heard an extremely loud gunshot from inside the house last time. Plus, there's always puddles of blood appearing somewhere in the house. Vases and glass objects move off the tables when NOBODY is even around them...or even in the room with the table that the object fell from!

Jon, you forgot to add that this occured late at night. Somewhere between 3 and 3:30am. It makes it kinda scary that someone was following us that late at night.

Alright, here's another fucked up story. Jon was talking about that rehab right next to my house. It was called the Vitae House. And about five or six years ago, me and my brother, matt decided to explore it. My older brother, Mike, said that he'd meet us down there in 15mins or so. So me and Matt went on down there by ourselves. Since the place is locked up, you have to enter thru the basement. The basement has a broken door and is extrememly dark and scary (especially when youre little). So we entered thru the basement. In the basement, there is this little storage room and is too dark to see in it, so we avoided it. We went upstairs and walked around the house for 20mins and since we didnt hear from my brother, we left it. Shortly after we walked out, we heard some loud shelf fall over somwhere in the house, so we got scared as shit and ran home. We ran back home and met up with my older brother. He told us that he just came back from the Vitae House. He went in thru the basement and heard footsteps over near the dark storage room. it was too dark to see who the fuck it was, but there was someone else in there. He said as he was walking up the basement stairs, he heard a loud crash from something being knocked over(my guess is it was a shelf or something).

Now, the scary part about it is, when me and my brother were in the house, there was someone else in the basement the entire time. I was only like 12 and my brother was bout 10. I never found out who that was down there too.

There is also weird things that happen in my house too. But they're not exactly EVIL like at my grandparents' house! Okay, my sister was in the kitchen and I was in the front room. Inbetween is the living room...which connects to a hallway. Well, I was on the computer in the front room and she was making toast in the kitchen. All of a sudden she starts SCREAMING and runs out of the kitchen! So I get up and I was like, "What the fuck now?!" Later, she told me she saw a white figure looking at her from the hallway. Half of it's body was in the wall and the other half (waist and up) was coming out of the wall in a slant direction. I didn't see a thing though, and I INSTANTLY got up and started walking out of the front room when she was screaming, I looked down the hallway before I even knew what was going on and, like I said, I didn't see anything. My sister is 19, incase you thought she was a little kid.

One time I was in Canada, and then I saw a really white figure coming towards me! It was really freaky, I'm like "Oh no, a ghost!!!"

i use to live in Long Island, new york. (A little island next to new york).There were lost of empty houses mansions, and creepy Farms, each Place had a Story, some of the were made up, u can just tell, but the others, still scare me today....Well heres on of my fav..

Has any body seen the movie "AmityVille Horror", well if u didint know, that movie is true... Well u can say i was in that house, and that house is located on Long Island...................

September 11, 1998 1:00am

My friends and i, were hanging out at my house, there was 5 of us, me, michael, and Justin. And 2 of my cousins were with us, there were like 19 at the time. Well it all started off, with me asking about going to the amityville house. And Somehow, we all went, mu cousins drove us.
When we got there, OMFG,It was so fucking scary just standing there. I got the feeling saying "STAY AWAY",.
What made it really scary, is that they had u can c the "no traspassing" signs all over the house...


Well we had to park like 2 blocks down the street, becaseu nobody is aloud near house, so we walked to the house, and we snuck around the back door. It was so dark, and we only had a nightvison video camera, that u can only c wahts on the screen, it Black and white. We went into the backdoor, it looked like the same exact backyard. The door was locked, but it was so old, that my cousin just banged it, and it opened...
We walked inside..... It was so dark, the house was empty, at parts, but there were also things coverd with White sheats. Very scary. We walked more inside.... Very slowly, then all of a sudden the DOOR SLAMMED RIGHT BEHIND ME...Scared the shit out of me, but it was very windy outside.. We didnt want to go in the house anymore, then My cousins kept telling us, its just a house. We kept, Walking.. The Floor creaked everytime we moved.. We went into the living room, the we all heard sometimg shatter, and we saw dust going thorugh the celing, like someone was walking on the 2nd floor, we turned around. and walked back, and all of a sudden we were in another room, much creeper, the whole room, had coverd sheets. We went the the other way, and let us to the kitchen. WE WERE LOST!!!
tHEN A DOOR SLAMED UPSTAIRTS. My cousin screamed, and that made all of us screamed! Then i swear to god i saw this glowing thing coming from the upstairs.
We ran back looking for the back door, and we found it, but the door was open. We heard the floor creak behind us, we RAN, out, and the police was outside.
We told them what happend, the didnt belive us, but they checked, and there was nobody in the house they said, but we remmember that, we taped it, we showed them the tape, but there was notinhg on the tape, but showing some, with stuff..


But we got into alot of truouble becaseu cops tolled my parents that were trespassing, and i got in so much trouble

So tahts my story, still freaks me out today...

Nothing really creepy has happened to me, and it bums me out... wait! actually!

I was in bed a long time ago and I had a dog, Barney, and I woke up and saw him, he was starring right next to me. I closed my eyes for a sec, then said "Hey Barn" and when I opened my eyes he was running out of the room. The next day I was in my room and I looked at the place where he was stareing and there was a chair with an Etch-A-Scetch on it. And on the etch-a-scetch was a crappy drawing that could be identefied as a UFO or something... not really scary, or creepy.

But my other dog could fly: We had some grapes on top of my fridge a long time ago, and we left to go shopping or something and when we got back, the dog had gotten the grapes and had them all over the house.

Another time, at my house, my dad saw a white puff-like figure that was spinning around him...then it stopped and started moving out of the room. He said he followed it while it was moving and it led him to the fireplace in the living room. After it led him the fireplace, he said it went into it and moved up the chimney.


Speaking of that, the other night I saw a white circle-like figure in front of the fireplace in the living room. It was not like a human figure that my sister saw though. It was just a white circle. Anyway, when I saw it...it started moving fastly and zoomed around. Then it disappeared. I think it was my imagination though!

This one time, about 5 or 6 months ago, me, my cousin George, and his friend Ryan and Chris were walking in these trails about 300 yards from a Retirement center (the trailed led back to his house). So, as we're walking we hear "HEY ROBERT!" and we look and there's an old dude banging on the fence that seperates the retirement home and the trails. So we keep walking because none of our names were Robert. So we're walking and this old dude is running along the fence. At this point we're kinda scared cuz the guy must be crazy. My cousin George tells the guy to shut up, but this dude is all like "ROBERT, COME HERE!" So we're almost at the end of the trails, and we see that the fence gate is broken, and the guy opens it and chases us. the guy ended up triggering a silent alarm in the registration center of the place. So as the counslers or whatever they are are running to the trails, the guy tackles Ryan with a big smile on his face saying "Robert, I miss you". The counslers finally got there and pinned the old guy onto a stretcher. They told us that the man (who was 84 and had cancer) was going senile and crazy. Ryan looked like his son Robert, who died in a car crash about 12 years earlier.

It doesn't sound scary, but if you were there seeing this little old guy smashing against the fence and running after us, you would've been...

At my friends house he said that if you stayed up late you could see a Mexican like man in a hat on his wall that would appear and disappear. Well we tested this hypothesis and stayed up late (we were like 10) and we thought we saw it.... we prolly got each other all hyped up or something.
