I might release Magic 2 unfinished

I know I've said all along that it'll be finished, but I can't say when anymore.

I still don't have a computer, and after losing all our shit, it's gonna be ages before I get one myself.

I'll capture it on Mum's computer and release it as AVI/youtube. I might have a play in premiere with it, mainly only some music syncing as 3dmm runs all different speeds on each computer, and there is some heavy syncing, so if I do it this way it leaves nothing to chance.

I'll release the .vmm file aswell, but there are a few versions of it, and some are buggy, others don't sync right etc etc.

So, is anyone against this? If most of you are like "Nah, we'll wait, finish it" I'll do that, but what I'm saying is that's a good year if not longer away.

If I release this now, I'll make the ending whenever I do get a computer, because I don't want to leave my biggest project unfinished, but after this I think I'm done.

Don't release it unfinished. Make an ending for it if you have to. Most people respond to unfinished movies in the context of "it was great what you did, imagine how great it would've been if blah blah blah" and that's a lot less fun. Find a way to do an ending that doesn't feel like "Well, that's all I had the patience for".

I concur. Unless you are certain that you're done with 3dmm for good, stick it out - it'll be worth it in the end

if there are parts that haven't been done, just slap something together that is easy to do but works.

release it as is

and let members come up with their own endings. Might be fun? I dunno.

BUT I REALLY REALLY HAVE BEEN EXCITED FOR THIS CMON FINISH IT

Even your ending for the first Magic was fine, just do something like that and don't call it unfinished if it comes to that.

It's cool that you guys wanna see it finished! This was more sort of, it's been this long, and I'm saying it'll most likely be this long again, so I thought you guys might have just wanted it now.

I have an ending all planned out, and it's good stuff, just it involves some heavy animation, and some creation of some 3d set pieces, so it's no 5 minute task. The rest of the movie would probably be a good 10 - 15 mins, and it runs now at around 30 mins.

Thanks for the comments and input anyway. I can use Matt Ford's computer through the day to check stuff, and I'm getting a laptop on Sunday
