This was a five year social experiment for my doctorate thesis in online social hierarchies. Tom Bown is a combination of me, my lab partner Sam, and a post robot for when I was taking time off.

Truly though, I am very disappointed in those who participated in this faggy "plan." Wow, you totally pranked someone who was not very well liked! Congrats. If you guys had pulled off some master plan with someone people respect, that would have been impressive. Now you all just seem like a bunch of assholes that have too much time on your hands. And making plans to humiliate someone while using something as gay and nerdy as an mirc chat room kind of defeats the whole idea of you being better than them.

You are all hyping this plan up to be much more than it was. I was half joking using the word "plan" in the first place. Everyone was already in #3dmm, not doing anything. Someone suggested this, and everyone went and posted 1 sentence saying Bown was OK.

If this is a big deal to you, then you are seriously lazy. 1 sentence is not a big deal to type. ANY plan that involves that little an amount of effort, I will gladly take part in. And that is why people actually did it.

Of course for me personally, this is countered entirely by me replying to each idiot in this thread, so don't use me as an example for why the other people involved are dumb.

Okay, this thread makes it seems like some kind of grand scheme and that all involved were very proud of themselves for achieving some kind of social manipulation. So if it was less than that whatever. It still all comes off as juvenile and boring, but then it's 3dmm.com so what else is new?
