I'd take a guess and say that he drew it. That being the trend with most of his previous avatars.

It's from the PC version of Puzzle Bobble 2. I played around with Camtasia and ImageReady for about an hour before I could get it into a decent avatar form. If I'd known it would take that long I probably would have done the blue one, because he's cooler. I don't think many of my past avatars were drawn by me. :|

What exactly is ImageReady for? I've never really looked into it.

It's basically an image-manipulation software, with animated gif making capabilities.
