is it just me or is alot of the sync in the sound off? And sounds repeat more than once....ie. the infamous jeff ching line. God that rules. the animation and voices made me laugh. The characters were funny, i loved how you purposely made all the voice actors sound like they really dont give a shit. 10/10.

actually, i think tony said '98 so he could cover up the even-for-2000-out-of-date-animation style.

Yeah, of course it was 2000... it was really late when I posted and I put 1998 because I was probably thinking of when I wrote the original novella (short novel).

Hmm just looking at the cast list, most people are still here. Cool. Luis, I forgot you did voices on it - you were the guy who comes in at the end of the movie to inspect their papers, Yousef takes out their Jewish ones and there's that big cliffhanger that pissed off Jeff cos he wanted to know what happened.

CAST
Peter Blum - Mike Pfister
Yousef Blum - Paul Marriot
Anne Blum - Tara Caruso
Jodie Ronnelflanner - Tara Caruso
Erich Ronnelflanner - Matt Ford
Klaus Ronnelflanner - Tuna Hematoma
Thomas Roebel - Martin Hewes
Nazi Kontrolle - Luis Badano
Leader Stieffel - Bryn Doherty
Sergeant Ubermann - Cal Flavell
Nazis #2-4 - Cal Flavell
Nazi Doctor - Marc Sola
Harry Goldberg - Mitch Warren
Nazi Sentry - Tony Teulan
Karl Uther - Tony Teulan
Newsreader - Tony Teulan
German Bourgeois - Jeff Ching
German Bourgeois 2 - Brad Ross
Considerate Frenchman - Tristan Orr
Berlin Train Announcer - Tony Teulan
Berlin Train Conductor - Mike Pfister
Hermann Rengerrfen - Mike Pfister
Hamburg Train Announcer - Steven Astill

[EDIT: I had Nick the Almighty down as Erich, rather, it was Matt]

A good movie held back by only a few fatal flaws....... and those damned text boxes that appeared while the characters were talking (To show what they were thinking) and went away just as fast. Not bad for Tonys first real full length movie, the second movie should be a real step up from this.
That's a bit from Redwampa's review in which he gives E&S quite a good review. Thanks Redwampa, all the points in your reviews are useful though it goes without saying I wouldn't do that sort of stuff nowadays (spinning cubes, inconsistent animation/sound quality etc).

But yeah, I'm glad the movie's back out there for you newer 3DMMers to see (and also those who haven't yet seen it).

The sound problems you've all reported are classic examples of the 3dmm sound bug, I would go back and fix that up but don't have the lines anymore on my computer to re-insert.

Oh well.

I'm a little late in replying... but Jordi, shut the fuck up. I'm about to watch the movie right now, so I'll tell you what I think, Tony.

Heilige Scheiße, die war eine Hölle eines Films! Gotta hand it to ya, Tony, that was the best movie I've seen in some time. The story was great. I was NEVER bored while watching it. I couldn't hear some of the voices (when the girl was talking and the train noises were roaring) and some of the animation was a tad rough, but who cares? I was like talking to myself while watching it, like when the Nazi guys were outside and you could see the family in the window I was saying "Oh god, they're screwed!" And at the end, it left me hanging... can't wait for the sequel. Great job, Tony. I give it 10 out of 10.

Thanks Alex. The sequel will really be more of an entire remake of the original movie plus with the events E&S2 would have had. and yeah you'll see the continuation of what happens to the family in Hamburg when the father takes out the wrong papers.

I'm going to make it as a real movie too. That's 2003's lil project...

nope, I've had more than that.

3dmmers will be in the real version including Leigh McDonald, who will play the male nurse at the hospital, his character in the original 3dmm version...
