This seems more about the desire to set directors deadlines that'll tie into the health of the board more than anything else. More than ever you seem to have this urgency to have films released Aaron, and that just isn't the way they're going to get made. If anything this very idea of a festival is turning me off the idea of 3dmming.

Moreover it seems to be a sort of semi-attempt to bring out a whole batch of very special movies at once. That in itself is a bad idea. you release four "blockbusters" at the same time one of them, if not two, will suffer. It's not productive and it's just not a good idea. I severely doubt that all of the films released will get the attention they deserve, and I doubt even more the community audience is willing to sit through an entire festival of movies of this quality, pausing to remember each one for their specialties. Big movies work best when released in relation to either a festival full of smaller films, or independently in New Releases. This is going to promote unnecessary competition and a possible tendancy to rush the projects. Look at Anders. He's forever moulding Rayman Level one to deadlines. This is what I'm talking about. Clearly none of this was your intention but like it or not it's bound to happen.

That's the point you're missing.
