Warez/Crack's policy.

This board has a policy of NO warez, and that applies to cracks/serials etc.

Any threads about warez will be deleted or closed, and any posts (in a non-warez thread) will be edited or deleted completely.

Then maybe we should also stop sharing 3dmm films since they are property of Microsoft...

And also every pictures used for making sigs or avatars if we don't have the right to use them...

And if it does apply to mp3, then we won't be able to share movies with copyrighted music in it...

You should be happy for what you can do, instead off complaing on what you can't do.

Or, the MODs can choose to not see it. A lot of people live lives where they only see what they want to. If we are able to trade and upload and post our films, especially ones with music in them... like ALL OF THEM... then there is absolutely no reason why we can't say anything we want on the BB. At least, if you must have restrictions, delete URLs. Do not delete "E-Mail me and I'll tell you where to go" posts. Wha someone does is their own business and you can't seriousely be held responsible, if the person doesn't say "E-Mail and I'll give you a link to illegal software"

Be realistic, here, you guys. This "rule" is fucked up and this thread should never have been made.

If they want to talk about warez, do it in email/AIM. (NOT PM)
Not on this board.

Look, there are lots of rules and laws in my country as well concerning copyright and such and i dont give a shit about them. Do you seriously think ANYONE is going to check this board for hints of copyright laws being broken? And even if someone did, who's gonna hold you guys responsible? You're no babysitter, how can you make sure that 300 people don't exchange cracks or warez site links. To be honest, some of the links i've encountered over time on the board have been really helpful.

plus some people come on this board from coutries that the rules don't apply

so they are legally allowed to post the links, but we aren't allowed to look at em!

Exactly.

However, since the server, as well as the admins and owner of this board are in america, we have to play by their rules.

Do you even know what a hypocrite is, Jorrit? Explain to me how we're being hypocritical by not allowing warez on the board. Seriously, I'd like to hear this one. A hypocrite is someone who makes a rule or a guideline which they continually break themselves. Travis and I don't post warez, and although I don't know about Travis, I don't even download it in the first place, nor have any interest in it.

You love to just loiter around here and criticize everything we do, yet at the same time you have no idea what any of the insults you throw at us even mean. Get off our backs already, and stop complaining just for the sake of complaining. You're a pain in the ass, Jorrit--and let me tell you something--if you want to see some real hypocrisy, just wait until I ban you for it.

Microsoft has long since publicized a policy which allows us to share 3dmm movies online, legally.

...and Sammy, if you want to download warez links SO BAD, go to a warez forum. It's not THAT hard.
