Funny Ninja Daisenso Pic

I was going through, uploading a bunch of my latest pictures for Ninja Daisenso (I guess a comic adaptation of my Ninja Gaiden movie), and I don't know why, but I really liked this one. I found the expression to be slightly hilarious, but overall fitting.

But yeah, no shading or anything fancy yet. That is because I am still toying with the idea of coloring the thing in with photoshop (Though those skills are beyond me, esp. right now), and this allows for easier filling. Still havn't gotten around to inking any of the newest pages, but that's my own laziness. I'll get around to it, I guess.

Does anyone here have any experience with creating comics? I'd really appreciate any insight you might have, as I'm right now just planning on gunning it without direction

I always think of them (to a general degree) in terms of storyboarding; I imagine I'd make a comic the same way I'd make a movie, organizing it shot by shot. Dialogue boxes obviously make it trickier though.

I've drawn a number of comics in my time. Pretty much what Aaron said, like a storyboard, only with comics, get creative with the layout. It doesnt have to be identical boxes one next to the other, you can have some that are enlongated, and then short ones next to it. Things don't have to ramain in thir box either. Also, for sound effects, make them cool. Like, bubbly, or scratchy. make sure the sound effect font doesnt cover anything real important. yeah, id unno really how to explain it. just read some comic books, and I'm pretty sure you'll catch on fairly easy.
