How is liking punk-pop idiotic? By no means do I claim that punk-pop is amazing artistic music that's out of this world.

I acknowledge that punk-pop is simple. But I like it! I like punk-pop cuz it's fast, energetic, upbeat music with ridiculously catchy sing-a-long melodies.

Everyone's allowed to like simple things once in a while. I've heard some metal when I go visit my friend by Niagara Falls...yes, the guitar solos are really kick ass, but too much screaming gives me a head-ache, and I can't get into the melodies either.

If I said that punk-pop is the most artistic, talented music out there, then yes I'm an idiot.

but if I say that I love punk-pop how is that idiotic? It's called a "personal opinion"

you keep saying these pop-punk songs are good. that's idiotic. say "i like them because...", don't call them good. they aren't good. maybe to you, but, in general, they're shit. and saying that you like music because of ridiculously-catchy melodies is pretty idiotic. it's not totally idiotic, but when you use it as the basis for liking the music - which you do frequently - it's just stupid. you truly ARE a 12-year-old girl. prepubescent girls get hooked on catchy melodies. that's how record companies make all of their money.

You guys take the music way too seriously, jeez, I can't believe you people. All this apeshit over a song recommendation, and the ramifications of the word 'good'.

Give it a rest, faggots.

Did u even listen to the song I posted in this topic? there's really nothing "12 year old girlish" about the song.

Maybe to YOU these songs aren't good, but to other fans of punk and emo they are good.

I still don't see what's wrong with me calling a punk-pop song good. In my opinion, they are good! What u're saying to me is just like some guy saying like, "American Pie is a good movie"

and I'm like, "You fuckin idiot!! You disgust me! You like stupid brainless movies! Charles Kaufman and P.T Anderson movies are true art! You and your american Pie.....you fuckin retard!"

I don't like your music and you don't like mine. I'll continue to post topics about emo and punk songs, because there are some people here that agree with my taste. Hell, "Shit Happens" made Gorosaurus a Count the Stars fan which is awesome!

If you made death metal threads, there will obviously be ppl that won't agree with your taste.

When the topic is named "ridiculously good punk song," I expected, oh, I don't know, something actually ridiculously good.

Sure, but if someone only watches American Pie-type movies, its safe to conclude that they don't have good taste.

Yeah, but he doesn't make death metal threads, which means he doesn't get ridiculed for it. Why not just tell other pop-punk fans about some 'awesome' song you found? I mean, they'll be the ones to appreciate it.

wow, you're an idiot... truly an ignorant moron. i also listen to jazz, progressive rock, grind, progressive instrumental music - not movie soundtracks - and a variety of other genres, including a ton of metal sub-genres. maybe you should just shut up from now on and save yourself some time while the big boys are arguing. back to the play pen, bitch.

In this case, yes, I do think this is a ridiculously good song. Many other punk websites out there will agree. You can't deny the total awesomeness of Jordon's drumming. I forgot to post the lyrics which sux, cuz the lyrics are very good as well. I loved the guitarring as well.

I thought "a ridiculously good PUNK song" would be good enough at targetting the "punk" fans. If I said, "Ridiculously good song" with the word "punk" missing in the title, then I'd understand.

And Jeff, I might as well state that I haven't found a punk song to be catchy whatsoever since "I Wanna Be Sedated"... and I haven't found a pop-punk song catchy since I was president of the world.

I can't see how any pop-punk is "infectious" or "energetic". To me, it just sounds whiny, repetitive and annoying. Jesus, you want catchy? Go listen to some prog metal or something. You need to evolve your tastes.

Jeff, if you want a good punk (sorta, it has other stuff too) song, get this:

Blood Brothers - I Know Where The Canaries And Crows Go

The beginning is definitely not punkish, but you should at least find it tolerable.

Give it a go.
