I think there’s an MCU thread somewhere. Anyway I liked this movie a lot. Willem Dafoe and Andrew Garfield were GREAT and Tom Holland gave his best performance to date. I thought they did a great job of not having the multiverse stuff take away from it being Holland’s movie and the end of his trilogy. My only major issues were some MCU house style stuff, snark humour etc, and that Jon Watts, for all his strengths, is reeeeally not very visually-minded. Not the best-lookin movie imo

Right on- it worked for what it was. Definitely not the best movie in a while, but I am glad I saw it (even if the theatre was 5 times more annoying than I remembered it). Watts has a pretty good grasp of conversations and he really shined in Homecoming, but the latest two have been pretty meh. As you said, there's almost nothing visually interesting to his stuff.

All-in-all, decent but I guarantee it will be forgotten in five years. It's just not a very good story and the nostalgia was basically its only selling point (other than continuing the MCU story line). Whereas X-Men Days of Future Past is still a fun watch, this has its moment now but will not be worth rewatching ever again.

I liked it, easily the best Marvel film since Infinity War.

It reminded me how much more I preferred the other actors portrayals . I love Tobey's dweeby wierdness, and Andrew's oscar-worthy charisma. Tom's just seems like an immature little boy.

This is the first Tom Holland Spiderman movie I’ve seen and even tho Tobey is still my favorite one he did really good in it. Willem Dafoe had really stole the show imo, being even better than he was in the original.
