Scandalous Repetition

The gusts of wind from the bathroom stall,
Calling me to sit down, I hear the calls.
This is my important job, yet stays absurd,
Today's the day I arrest the lewd Senator.

I close the door and lock the hatch.
I stand and look, my breath I catch.
For I know this is for the best,
I sit down slowly, ready to arrest.

I prepare myself for his signals,
I recite my thoughts, plain and simple.
I am not gay and have never been,
I pull my sleeve up to look at my skin.

Wrinkly and old, like childhood fables,
I find my card across the table,
'Larry Craig', Alas it cannot be me,
For I am not gay, for I am free!

I remember he is in prison, is he not?
Perhaps he was killed, maybe shot.
Dementia killing me, life less clearer,
I look around the room, into the mirror.

I see an old man, a large forehead,
glasses shinier than can be said.
The features, the face, I'd had enough!
This may just be a prank, maybe a setup!

I was lied to, they caught the chance,
I look down and soon notice my stance.
Wide and open, ready for lewd action,
I look across the floor, I notice a reaction.

Suddenly at once, at the flip of a dime,
The word 'Sodomy' is repeated all the time.
My feet automatically tap without control,
This bathroom will soon take me whole!

As the sounds of the horror stop and end,
Silence becomes my very new best friend.
I close my eyes and prepare to leave,
but authority has caught up to me.

I see two guards, they open the stall.
Suddenly one of them starts to call,
"We've caught Larry! Bring him to jail!"
SWAT team storming, guns seem to wail.

Loudness and shooting, all in the room.
Fully captured, My face starts to fume.
They arrest me for my various crimes,
I will be imprisoned for a long, long time.

I was delusional, it seemed quite unfair!
The law enforcement seems to not care.
I protest about dementia, they push it aside.
I prepare myself for this new imprisoned ride.

However, I would not say I am hated by all.
Liked by quite a few, yet I cannot recall.
I recall reading about me on a forum I cannot find.
But that is another story for another time.
