I can't do mezcal at all.

Like if a mixed drink features it, it's gross. I'll suck it up and finish my fuckin $10 cocktail but I just absolutely think it's gross

Love a good tequila tho

Weird! But it is a strong flavor, so understandable. I kinda feel the same way about tequila.

For a few years I did like gin, but I found that the cheaper gins were more palatable than the fancy ones. I'm guessing that that means I didn't really like gin. Now I'll have it maybe once a year in a fancy cocktail, but it's pretty much useless without a citrus drink.

El Jimador is good, relatively cheap tequila, but then I've probably only tried like 3-4 brands in my life. Coming from "white person" tequila, El Jimador was recommended as being a little more authentic. It tastes drastically different to me than something like Jose or even Patron - it's much better.
