Don't be a menace (whatever the rest is cause the movie has a long name)

Today I watched this movie with my little brother (it was his idea to watch the movie) on Netflix. The movie was just random and it was aged like fine milk. The movie received negative reviews because of the random crap they put in the movie. My little brother didn't kinda like the movie but he loves it because it was funny and he only likes it because of the music in it. Well the random creativity of this movie is better than the random creativity of Dr. Slump.
My little brother says that Ashtray is a good name for a baby and the main character is actually named after an ashtray (a tray for cigarettes).

I haven't seen that movie and I heard it was a bad movie but they both parodied different movies.

you need to have seen the classic 90s hood movies like Boys in the Hood, Menace II Society to get that film at all, i seen it when i was younger around the same time as the Scary Movie films and thought the same, it seemed random as hell and not really funny but after growing up and watching those other movies it all makes sense, obscure jokes like the guy’s dad being a kid is cuz the dad in Boys N The Hood looks like 30 years old when his son is 18 in it etc.

I love the hood movies of that era, and Don't Be a Menace is, as Nixon pointed out, a pretty good parody of the genre. The part where Marlon (I think) is talking to a girl who ends up being disgusting is one of my favorite bits - I replay it over and over for the random loud fart.
