HMC: Thanks for the kind comments. Also thanks for the screenshot reminder!

Gorosaurus: Firstly, thank you so much for such an indepth big review! It is great reading what you said, because you kinda 'get' everything I go for. My partner Holly was reading it and laughing at how accurate it was about different quirks and styles I have through all my work. Now, to get to your review point by point:

I definitely have a distinct style now, through every type of media I do. it's exactly how you describe, action from slow to instantly fast, lots of 'percieved power' (I love that term for what I try and get across) and just trying to keep it flowing. It's the same in my after effects animation, there's a lot of it in the live action movie I made with my brother.

Using the expansions was a big step. It took me so long to actually start the movie, by the time I did I was so far behind technically. At the time, 3+ years back, I was proud of what I did for the desert scene using superdings and stuff like that. I'm glad you liked my v3dmm venture!

The sword sheath was another later added addition. Most of the sword movements are copied in some way shape or form from Samurai Jack and Devil May cry 3 cut scenes. A side note, animating the spin and scrape put sword away thing was a nightmare. After he kills big bad John, it took me SO long to get it to look right. I would tweak it for what seemed like a LONG time only to scrap it and start over again.

You are completely spot on about the music. I literally do just pick songs I like! Especially for Magic 1 and 2. Magic 1 has so much backing music that is just a song I liked at the time.

I completely made this movie for myself, you're right. The things I did for the viewers tho, was put a lot of effort into the Drawf character. He has a vital role in the rest of the movie. I also cameo'd Big Bad John for the fans, and then finally the 3dmm 'legend' cameo. But yeah, you're completely right that the humour, style and music is just completely for myself, so anyone who likes it essentially likes my sense of humour I guess... I'm not exactly sure what I'm trying to say, haha.

Reading what you said about using the 2 sidekicks as cutaways so I could cut back to any scene I wanted... I honestly didn't even notice I was doing that!!! I was just trying to be funny with the voices! But you're right, it's a good technique! The funny thing is, it stemmed from laziness, which is the true kind of ironic spirit to the movie.

Someone else that pointed out the car scene, that makes me happy. I spent a LOT of time trying to get the car physics and speed to come off as believable, without leaving 3dmm's frame rate in the dust. It was incredibly hard, and there was a LOT of test animation. I still have some the tests saved actually. I also watched a lot of Burnout on ps2 to see how to convey the speed.

The 'polish' you talk about, Im pretty sure is just because of v3dmm making things easier. It was much easier to make spectacular looking things in so few pieces. I haven't had the tiem or creativity to make scenery with 3dmm, I hate moving around coloured boxes, or working with the retarded physics of resized and rotated fonts. V3dmm let me make single set pieces. It let me do a whole environment using 3 pieces. It was so great and easy, and also let me add a further personal touch. Haha, I don't mind you calling the models ugly, again, all about the lazy. Barry was meant to be a dull grey, and the face is actually Dad's face! The Killah was meant to just be really simple and stupid etc. So that's fine. I hope you liked the dwarves and Drawf tho!

Now, about the story. It doesn't work, because it was a complete after thought. The first movie was literally just the Killah going from random scene to random scene until I got bored or couldn't think of anything else. This one, I had a notepad file full of ideas to use, and by the end of the fight in the cave scene, I had run out of ideas. I think by that time I'd made an evil Killah model, and I made a Drawf model by default... but then it just turned into me giving it a plot so I had a reason to use the characters. The filler between the plot was meant to be still random madness, but then with the occasional stops to just advance it to a scene that made sense.

You are right about it building right up and then stopping. The scenes to follow where the movie stopped are going to be EPIC! The story is set, all that is left now is to complete it. Barry gets kidnapped for a few reasons. 1: LAZINESS!!! Hahaha. Seriously, I wanted to just animate less characters for a while, and maybe give the other characters more of a spot light role, and give the voices a rest. I thought by this point they could be getting a bit old or annoying, so I thought it would be funnier to take him away for a good chunk of the movie. It would also add to the seriousness of the drama building in what is a non serious ridiculous movie. Another reason was to make the evil Killah more evil. there seemed to be no reason to kidnap him apart from the fact that he was a companion of the Killah. The evil Killah is evil, he does shit like kidnap people for no reason to get the hero to hate him, and to hopefully make the audience hate him too. The evil Killah has an incredibly dramatic important role later in the movie, and it will set the scene for the audience to HATE him for the final battle.

I wish the box was a reference to Guy Collins! Lets just pretend it is, haha!

Thanks again for the review Goro!

Just a general comment to everyone: I am so happy Barry and Benge came across as funny. I think the subtitles helped a LOT too. They speak english, but the subtitles just add to the far out accent to the point where they seem foreign enough to need subtitles. I was hoping the explanation of who they were would help, but i also thought the voices could work without explanation. I mean, it's obvious they are clips from something, and I think funny voice clips used properly are funny without any back story. I didn't take that chance, but I'm glad everyone seems to like them all the same.

Brad you've really outdone yourself. This was just as entertaining as Magic. I really hope you can finish this soon, because I want to know what insanity lies ahead.

I just love how the killah runs around and up walls, on ceilings and other stuff while he's talking or something, the DBZ fights were EPIC, I liked "Big Willy" and The music fit so much. I love you, Sir.

This was just an amazing watch, it really was. The Lost Souls' 'mimimimimimi' was absolutely hilarious above all else hahahaha

A lot of the animations were supreme, but a couple of those re-sheathings were breathtaking. Masterful work there! The expansion use was great, and you did a fantastic job of continuing the spirit of the first Magic, which to this day is one of my favorite 3dmm movies of all time and I watch it again every now and...again. Some of the sequences in Magic 2 really had that feeling of 'classic 3dmm' compared to modern 3dmm techniques; it was a wonderful feeling.

V3dmm file added.

This was the working file I captured from. The music is synced for XP speeds. It's a little out on Vista.

There are some slight music differences, and there are no voice subtitles.

Thanks for the kind words, Denny! Glad you enjoyed. It's funny that you differentiate the flying skulls scene and say the "Mimimimimimi!" scene when others say the "fuck fuckin fuckin fuckin fuck!" scene.

Jesus, this was awesome. I'm not much of a fan for pointless movies, but the humor and animation were top notch. So fluid!

This is one of the best 3D Movie Maker projects I've ever seen with it's mix of comedy and action. The fact that it is unfinished feels irrelevant in comparison to that fact that it definitely deserves 5 stars.

The comedy didn't have me rolling on the floor laughing, because to do so would require my eyes to leave the screen. The unique humor had me completely entertained throughout it's entirety. I loved "The Killah!" with his hilarious manner of speaking to his random running and jumping around. Barry and Benge were greatly amusing characters, as long as one is aware to their voice's origin.

The only time I wasn't entranced with laughter was through the many action scenes(that was a lie, I was still laughing). The battles had excellent camera angles, animations, and creativity of moves. Animating separate body parts with the help of v3dmm made a big difference in quality.

The music was an essential part of everything it seems. From filling in would-be silent moments, to producing perfect background music to fight scenes, and most importantly for making those priceless comical moments. Instead of matching the genre of music together, the variety of the songs only made it better. You've shown me the true usefulness of including music in movies.

The construction of the movie with the different settings weren't too advanced and didn't have to be, and they still looked great. The fact that you integrated comedy with action not only would appeal to comedy lovers and action lovers, but the mixture of the two just worked perfectly. The use of original 3dmm animations alone in some parts didn't seem to affect the quality of the movie, in fact it felt right.

I personally wouldn't consider the story completely pointless. I still sensed a slight personality out of the characters thanks to the voice acting, even if it was out of the ordinary. Also, there was still a "reason" for doing what was done, and not just pure randomness. I'd consider an in-depth story to feel like "too much", even though that technique can work, I love what has been made here.

I simply love this in so many ways. Not only would it appeal to my friends, but I find this to be one of the few movies I would recommend to a possible new 3dmm-er.
I enjoyed it so much, that I've broken my vow of not posting anything till I make my own movie by replying :P.

Finally watched part 3 tonight, I love this movie. Brad's movie's always have heaps of life, his animation has always been the best, goro said 'frame-smith' which is a great name for it, although very nerdy. Bringing speed to a 3dmm movie running at like 6 fps without losing detail in the action is hard, Brad does it almost effortlessly. Slow-motion I think is a granted in 3dmm action, sometimes it's the best way to draw attention to an event, I know I used it all the time. The voices are all perfectly over the top, loved drawf's return and there was at least 2 tracks from toejam and earl which was awesome.

OH AND PROF SPAZ?! Seriously I'd totally forgotten that voice, that was an instant flashback right there.

As someone who hasn't watched many post-v3dmm movies yet, I thought the characters were hilarious, especially Patrick looking like some kind of anime character. Plus all the new things still astound me, custom characters, textures, models, I honest to god never thought I'd see the day.

5 stars!
