Most plants like flowers are boring as hell but then you've got Venus flytraps and those pitcher plants, one can kill insects and one can kill entire mice. Way cooler than some dumbass mushroom.

Haha sorry that message was so edgy I just couldn't think of any other 'cool' plant.

Both are pretty cool. I’d have to go with fungi since they’re more mysterious

Dk why there's a Sea Urchin in there, other than the nickname. The rest are pretty neat though!

I've also never really cared about plants, but I saw some of these a while back (mother was growing plants for a wedding). They're called Red & White Wave Petunia's I think. They look like candy and are my favourite now:

Fungi can literally DRILL THROUGH ROCKS JUST BY USING INCREDIBLY STRONG HYPHAE. Also, they're the reason for sand. Those incredibly strong hyphae? In order to get nutrients from under rocks, that drilling through pulverized those rocks and in turn created sand.

Cool info plop. I remember watching a documentary talking about before fungi evolved, entire forests would basically just turn to petrified stone because nature hadn’t yet developed a process to recycle/decay wood until those fun guys showed up

Fungi are kind of cliche hippy shit, like whoaaaa far out trippy duuuude. Plants are actually way cooler, think about how nice it is to walk in an ancient misty forest full of gigantic old growth trees and the ground covered in luscious ferns. Imagine how nice the air smells in a place like that

Good point. A lot of what makes mushrooms cool is just the environment in which you find them, usually in the forest. mushrooms on their own basically just look like dicks. I think I voted prematurely

If you want a weird fungus, look no further than the common stinkhorn. Its scientific name is phallus impudicus, and when you see pictures of it, it's not hard to see why it's earned that name.

If Bown farts, does a far away Boris start to chant?

I'm siding with plants. There are many reasons why, but I'll just post one particular example here:

In relation to fungi, I personally feel rather vexed, but this moment from beloved Bob's Burgers helps a lot:

when I lived in Vancouver years ago it was always really cool walking through the rainforest in late fall and seeing hundreds of different kinds of mushrooms everywhere.

The ones all over the lawn are Amanita muscaria, which I think the azteks used to take before blood sacrifices? Supposedly make you violently ill and delirious

What are those pink fungi?? They are super weird.

All of those images look like stuff that would grow on an alien world. I love it.
