Some of my favorites in specific would be TMBG, Lemon Demon, Talking Heads and Oingo Boingo.

damn how could you say that about talking heads so confidently david byrne is one of the coolest dudes ever and remain in light is definitely a top 20 coolest album of all time, dont even get me staryed on stop Making Sense either!!!

in regards to my favorite music, lately i’ve been loving the Minutemen (known to most folks as the guys who made the original song that is used as the Jackass theme).
they are a real cool band of childhood bestfriends, very tight and angular music that goes all over the place and has a real personality about it, political messages that arent in your face or whiny, just how it is. sadly the main dude d.boon went flying out the back of a van and died instantly in a freak car accident in 86, just while they were really getting there and becoming something. thankfully before that tragic incident they left a ton of music, my favourite of which being the 43 track Double Nickels on the Dime, 43 tracks that aint a chore at all. highly recommend!
