I remember this game.
I found this video on my recommended and when I watched it, it gave me nolstagic feeling. I remember playing this on my old second-hand Sega Genesis Mega Drive. I don't clearly remember how I got the Sega Genesis but my mom said that one Arab man gave my dad a second-hand Sega Genesis in 2012 and after that, my dad gifted me the Genesis to play with. I remember spending hours on that game until there is a setting that has easy mode. The game was written in Japanese so I did not understand a single word in that game. Anyways, the Sega Genesis was broken by my baby brother in 2016 (which he was 4 at that time) and for me, I was happy tbh because I was tired of playing the same old games over and over again.
End of story. Let me tell you about the game.
Doraemon: Yume Dorobou to 7 Nin no Gozansu is a game released for the Sega Megadrive developed and published by Sega in 1993.
The gameplay of the game is your normal every-day side scrolling platformer. Unlike the Super Famicom Doraemon games, Doraemon is the only playable character in the game. The gameplay could be best described as Mega Man/Doki Doki Panic since it involves shooting (and you can charge your projectiles too) and throwing enemies. All the bosses excluding the final boss involve a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors (just like Alex Kidd.) The final boss on the other hand, it involves Doraemon, the other bosses and Wanders playing a game where if someone has no place to stand on, that person gets eliminated from the game. The game has power ups such as Ultra Stop, Copy Robot, Take Copter and Hustle Nejimaki. The game is really generous with 1-ups (just like Bugs Bunny's Birthday Blowout) and apparently there's 4 methods of getting 1-ups.
