and i have this...

Yes, most of the songs on this album are in a few 3dmm movies, Such as the Original Videogame Nightmare.

and hell, theres a MIDI version of "The Meaning of Life" (yes, from the album) that appears in Sims Odom's 1999 3dmm classic "McZee's Nightmare Clips".

yeah, the plastic is kinda broken and... destroyed! but still good album by the Offspring in '99.

and yes, the image was taken in my Dad's car.

How old are you ABJ, just out of curiosity? It's just interesting to me that you seem pretty young but also have an interest in all these artifacts of the 1990's

So is it common for young people your age to be interested in 90's stuff? or is this more a unique hobby for you? If the latter, how did you get interested in it?

I'm 32 so I grew up in the 90's. All this stuff has a lot of nostalgia value for me, because I grew up watching these shows and listening to this music. When I was 13/14 though, I wasn't too interested in stuff from the 70's or whatever the equivalent would be. You didn't see me collecting old Star Trek fanzines or vinyl records of Jefferson Starship or anything like that, and I didn't know any other kids who did. But I have noticed that some of the current teenagers do seem to sort of have a fixation with late 80's/ 90's pop culture/aesthetic.

I guess what I'm getting at.... is the 90's just a uniquely appealing time? or, is it that culture now is so fucking lame and stupid, people have to look back to the last time culture was actually fun? Or is it just a random autistic fixation? It's hard for me to analyze objectively, since I lived through that time, and I can't tell how much of my fond memories are just the rose-tinted haze of childhood, and how much is genuine.

I guess the things by then is good enough to like. Like games in the 70s are pretty bad, except for a few. And a lot of things didn't have as much polish from the 70s. By the 90s there were enough technological advancements and polish to like things from the 90s, like the internet and 3D graphics. Personally, I am not as into that era as much as patryk. I'll play a few games from that era like Half-Life and 3D Movie Maker but other than that, I'm not really into that era. I'm not out here buying books, watching cartoons and buying CDs from that era.

Maybe the 20 year cycle got slightly delayed because the 80s revival lasted so long
