Oh I dunno about top 10. I’d maybe start with the Lord of the rings trilogy. Hollywood will never create something like that again, its now a relic of a better time.

Original cut for sure, but if the final cut didn’t have the plantation scene it would be that one. Every other choice they made with regards to keeping in or taking out scenes from the Redux version was imo the correct one, but that entire fucking scene is still in there and it’s still boring as hell and really wrecks the pacing. It’s a shame too cos the remaster makes it look so much better than it ever did before, saw it in the Odeon in Leicester Square and the visuals/sound absolutely blew me away but then I legit almost fell asleep during the plantation shit

yeah man i agree, i watched it for the first time last year and it was the redux version, i had no idea what was added etc. so i was viewing it with a fresh mind and the plantation scene annoyed me, pretty sure i actually fell asleep or maybe just as they reached the last bit cuz i was stoned and the 40 min convo got me in the sleep zone, apparently the original hasn’t got the general guy asking for his surfboard back with a megaphone though so its a hard trade (jk)
