yeah, i generally agree with this, but i do think that the turn of a new year is a good time to reflect on goals accomplished (or failed) in the past year and to envision challenges and goals for the next year. Usually around New Years I come up with an idea or a plan that will sort of set the tone for the coming year. Sometimes it ends up working out, other times it doesnt. It's also important to be able to change and adapt your plans on the fly, or throw them out when it becomes clear they aren't working.
