Continued developer support for 4+ years with weekly podcasts about upcoming tweaks/changes/events

The combat is Rock/Paper/Scissors with pretty graphics. It's too inoffensive to hate.

Up/left/right attacks = up/left/right block
Heavy attack = side step or Parry
guard break = counter guard break
Heavy attack cancel = Wait, watch for the GB

I guess I've got dimwitted gamer friends with slow reflexes

I dunno. Each to their own. I put down guns in COD and Battlefield and picked up Melee weapons for multiplayer and haven't looked back

I dominated in For Honor, for the limited time I played it. It's just not fun.

The combat has been changed recently... damage reduced and speed increased. Light spam is a real problem on console

I'll checkout Mordhau. I recall that name.

Anything with interesting melee combat that's active is interesting. I still get For Honor dominion games within 3 minutes on xbox any time of day.

Light spam seems to always be an issue in melee games, there never seems to be a happy medium.

Mordhau is great! If you've ever played the Chivalry games, you'll know what to expect. If you happen to get it, expect to be total shit for a while, there are a lot of die hard players. Duel servers are great for learning/practicing against top tier players, so I'd recommend those too.
