I just had a play through too.

That was super cool!

I wonder if 3dmmers had an easy to use template to make these if many would have happened? Anyone could create scenery, animating it was the hard part.

I got stuck because it glitched me out of being able to win...
I used the console for the walk through and it told me to use the pen on Willy's photo. I'd tried using the pen on the book earlier, and it took the pen permanently out of my inventory!!! Weird little glitch.

Is there a way to get a Gnomes DVD to play in the dvd player? The DVD player with no DVD that 'would work' felt like a tease to an easter egg....

Thanks for playing, glad to hear you liked it.

I just tried recreating the glitch, using the pen on the book. It looks like I had actually written a response when trying that and the pen is still in my inventory, so idk. I think maybe what happened is that you might've actually used the pen on the photo and didn't realize that it had done anything, can't imagine how else the pen would disappear. Did you try using the photo on Wally, the green guy in the graveyard? That's what you're supposed to do after using the pen on the photo.

About the Ghomes DVD on the DVD player, YES! The plan was to take some screenshots, turn them into textures, and have them cycle through on the tv and Jerry was going to make some hilarious comment, but for some reason 7gen just wasn't working for me at all so I just said fuck it. I've since gotten 7gen working again, but oh well.

That could be what happened re bumping the picture with the pen. I was running out of things to try, so was going to just start mixing inventory items with each other.

I had tried to show Wally the photo EARLIER, and didn't try it again as... it didn't work and the photo hadn't changed :P

Awesome about gnomes. It was the only DVD I could find anywhere in the game so made sense :P

I like the teleport effect as a 3dmm effect! It looks cool!

Yeah, in hindsight I probably should've changed the inventory icon for the photo after using the pen on it.

Thanks about the teleport effect, I was pretty happy with that too. Used the classic trick of having the actors laying on the ground and squashing them so they become flat and 2d.

I really must've clicked just beside the book instead of on it and it's hit the photo.

Again tho, good effort. That was fun

I'm half an hour into 'The chair'. Great so far. Another example in my mind of what 3dmm should have become

Fat Patrick/Bongo was fantastic

Godamnit, I was enjoying that! The pace DIED just after 30 mins. The rest is like.... 20 minutes of unfunny expositional dialogue.

I tried to watch 'The big movie 2' but gave up pretty quickly.... Now I'm rewatching Jim McGraff. Fuck yeah

Yeah The Big Movie 2 isn't very good. It was basically released half-assed so that we could finally do away with the Big Movie 2 subforum.

I'm sorry you didn't like my part of The Chair

Haha that movie of mine came out a lot longer than "a month ago."

You also recently referred to The Big Movie 2 as having had its own forum "a few months back" despite it having been closed seven years ago. Is... everything okay?

oops, you're right. I only watched it a month ago, I thought it was a new release.

wasn't there some other project recently that had it's own 3dmm forum, like a year or so ago? I forget what it was, but just automatically assumed it was that.

or am I completely wrong here?

Did old Rivers ever release his hamlet movie or was the trailer just the project?
