Hot take: fortnite IN CONCEPT would have had a longer lifetime if it weren't for the unborn children still playing it and wanting burgers named after it, jeesus

I mean, pretty much everyone who was close friends with Chris found him to be one of the funniest guys alive. This is all opinion, but we're talking about some of the biggest names in comedy of that era. I find him funny enough but like pretty much every other male SNL cast member from his cohort more than him. And the idea that people who do find him funny instead of recognizing that Chris was actually a tortured soul are naive or whatever is just your standard pretentious bullshit that is out of touch with reality and in fact betrays your own lack of understanding of people more than anything. I think you've probably spent way more time trying to learn about life and people than actually living it or knowing and comprehending them through real, quality interaction

You're right about me being an out-of-touch weirdo but that's some serious pot-calling-the-kettle-black. Nearly every post I've seen you make involves you directly insulting someone to their face, so if that's your idea of "quality interaction," I think you got some bigger issues in that department than I do.

Let's see an example clip of Chris Farley being funny. Put up or shut up.

Here's another hot take for y'all. Bill Hader is the best SNL cast member ever.

Genius.

The point is now I'm genuinely curious what bits of his people find funny. And also it's just nice to celebrate the things you like, right? I promise I won't say anything bad about it.

Oh wow his friends (the people he worked with on shows & movies) thought he was like the funniest guy ever? Game changer dude!

His friends who do the typical congratulatory bullshit with one another but who all consistently exalt him as being the funniest among them, a bunch of other classic, venerable 90s era comedians. It's sort of a moot point being that comedy is subjective, but between the people who knew him best speaking very highly of him, and more highly of him than other comparable comedians, and the sensation that he was in the public court, it's more retarded to think he's some one dimensional hack who doesn't deserve the praise he gets.

And, I mean, as far as me being an asshole online: only a social cripple would equate posts on the 3dmm forum to how I interact with my friends, family, and coworkers - you know, the people and interactions that actually matter.

Also, more online autist behavior to think that being friends with someone automatically makes them funny and worthy of praise. I could list off a bunch of people I'm friends with who are not funny and who I would not unnecessarily describe as the funniest people alive. Likewise, I wouldn't say that about my funny friends. The dude obviously commanded the respect of the people he worked with and was close with, and that deserves some measure of consideration in evaluating whether he's funny or not. OP was meant to be contrarian, that's all.

I was just playing your game, that if we are going to assume things about each other's personal lives based on our conduct on here then that paints a much worse picture for you. So that makes you the social cripple I guess.

Oh, I assumed, and I still think rightly assumed, that this is how you actually are. I guess only you know the truth.

I am a social cripple sure. And for the record I don't think you're an asshole, because I think it's good to have sympathy for the frustrations that come with being mentally-challenged, even when they lash out. And I'm sure you're right, your friends and family probably understand and don't think you're an asshole either. Chin up, bud!

Alright, I'm just trying to be mean now. I'm sorry, Anthro. And I'm sorry if I offended you about saying Chris Farley sucks I guess, it's just my opinion, didn't mean any real judgment about people who like his brand of comedy. Was just trying to rile people up a bit for fun but I'm no good at trolling because I always feel bad and bail whenever people seem legitimately upset. Can we call it a truce?

My posts were 90% being an asshole for the sake of being an asshole and 10% actually caring that you ridiculed Chris Farley. Nice to see a bit of life here, even if it looks like it did when we were 15 years old.

I actually agree that Bill Hader is one of the best SNL actors.

We can probably all agree that Jimmy Falon is the worst, and also a terrible fucking talk show host. Watching him bumble through any interview with the charisma of rusty farm equipment always make me cringe.

That's what I figured. Was gonna say, felt like mid-2000's 3dmm.com for a bit there, but I was too Bownish to have much fun with that back in the day and it still doesn't come easy.

Jimmy Fallon had some funny SNL skits for just how bad he fucked it up, like this is one of my favorites:

edit: though I guess that's more the other guy that broke in a funny way. So nvm, can't think of an example of where Jimmy Fallon was any good. He never really annoyed me though.

jimmy fallon fucking sucks balls. i HATED him on SNL, he honestly made the show worse because he introduced the thing of "OMG this is so funny i just have to laugh!!" He never made it through ONE single sketch without busting a gut laughing, and the idiot hog audience would always eat it up. It was SO annoying. Every time I watched SNL during those years I would just be waiting for him to break character, and sure enough, every single time, he would. Now there's a bunch of them who do it. That big ugly black woman does it all the time too, and she also often just doesn't bother to learn her lines.

Anyone else think Tim Meadows was criminally underrated? This isn't necessarily his best sketch but it's one of my favorites. His random Dr. Poop appearance in another skit that made Will Ferrell break also cracks me up.
