3DMM appears "moldy", weird graphics

Hey all,

I have v3DMM and all relevant expansions, I've been using this program off and on for years now. I started working on a project years ago and recently came back to it. I found, however, when I opened the program in the last few weeks it appears to be like degraded in some way. I've attached a link of a picture below so you can see what I mean. I'm running Windows 7 and my setup has not changed much since the start of this project. I just want to be able to use the program like it was normally, and not all weird lookin, ya know what I'm sayin...

Huh, I've never seen that before. Are you running the game from a CD?

That could be the reason and do you also know a way to fix this glitch in 3DMM when you are using it on a Windows XP, i don't know how to put it but i will quote the 3D Movie Maker Wiki
"Running 3DMM in Windows XP fullscreen, meaning when dragging objects near the edge of the screen, they will likely fly off - if you are using XP, you could run 3DMM in compatibility mode as Windows 98 but that doesn't seem to solve anything"

I didn't even think to try windowed mode, but it solved the issue! It's weird because I don't remember ever having to run it in windowed mode in the past. It just sucks because the window is very small relative to my screen, which is expected considering the resolution difference.

Anyways, thanks for the help!

3dmm tries to change display bit-depth and modern drivers don't implement it, or implement it poorly (any conflicting external elements can cause all sorts of colormap glitches too
