Why can't I add music to my 3DMM movie?

I go to the music tab and hit the little upload button, but it only let's me select other 3d movies I have made, and not any audio. If I try to use a v3dm Movie file that it gives me, it doesn't work. I have tried going to the bottom and clicking what types of files I should get but the only options are "v3dm movies" or "plain 3dmm movies." Is anyone else having this problem? If anyone knows how to fix this please tell me.

3dmm can only import .wav sound files. If you have a particular music file you want to use, it will have to be converted to .wav format, if it is not already. Also I think you need to use the sound effects menu or the speech menu, not the music menu.

I am using .wav files, but is there any way to use the music tab? I don't want to have the music interrupted everytime a sound or voiceclip plays.

Unfortunately the music tab can only import .midi sounds, which is extremely limiting. You'll have to use the sound effects tab or the speech tab.

However, you can easily avoid having the music interrupted by sound effects / voice clips simply by making sure that whatever sound effects you use are used on something different that what the music was used on. For instance, if you used your music on the background, make sure to use future sound effects on a prop or actor. If you used the music on a prop, make sure to use future sound effects on the background or a different prop. Sounds only cut each other off if they are used on the same thing.
