Here's the very FIRST chapter/entry of my book:

NOVEMBER 1st, 1860.

Dear Diary,

I have just received a letter from grandmother Mable. She has told me of a doll replica of mama of which she is making for my sister, Clarice.

I'll post more later. its late and I'm getting tired. PEACE!

I'll give you credit, that's a pretty good first entry. suggests mama might be dead without outright saying it, and presents the pretty creepy/intriguing premise of someone making a replica doll of her. thumbs up!
