Hand-Drawn Walk Cycle

Basically, I inbetweened a few drawings that Richard Williams did in his book "The Animator's Survival Kit". There are 16 frames per step. Here's a scan of one step to give you an idea of the amount of work that went into this:

Here's the walk cycle:

Damn man, that's actually super awesome. Love that swagger.

I've never had the patience for traditional animation, but there's something to be said about the feel it really achieves.

GOOD SHIT!

Nice to see more animation from you, I was just watching animations last night and thinking about your animation style and wishing I could find something like that on youtube.

Your animation is honestly legendary dude, I can't wait for you to produce something big, and I need to pretty much do the same.

Thanks for the comments, guys! They make me feel great!

BR, I can't wait until I make a short animated film! I hope I get faster at animating so I can finish it soon!

Omnirom, this thread inspired me to animate something, so I threw together this little "walk cycle" in 15-20 minutes. The video is glitchy and shitty cus I exported through Flash but whatever.
