[Interest check] A 3DMM Slack?

Those of you who are in the developer/designer industry may have come across Slack already. It's main purpose is for teams to communicate, and it does a great job of it. Everywhere I work these days has a Slack team. I already am a heavy user of slack and I'd imagine there'd be others who are as well.

One thing that's happening now is that it's being used for social groups. I thought, why not see if 3DMM would like it? It pretty much is the same as IRC except more fun and more customisable.

I started http://mczee.slack.com, 3DMM was taken but whatever, it's free and it's there it we want to try it. If I get a resounding no then I'll sink the idea, but if people like it I'll set up a self-inviter and take it to Off-Topic.

If anyone wants to jump in right now just post/DM me your email addy and I'll send a manual invite.

Yeah we use Slack at work. Pretty handy. It embeds tweets and videos and shit when you post a url, which is always nice.

kinda confused by slack's sudden popularity with companies
discord is pretty good too for free voice chat rooms along with pretty much all of slack's basic features, kinda seems to still be shaping up toward its final version though

Slack communities usually evolve and change over time. Sometimes a conversation will come up enough that making a channel about it makes sense.

Example, if we talk about music incessantly, might as well make #music. Right now though it's still too new to have any conversational patterns
