Usually the Bombing thread takes so long I open it in another tab so I can check out other places on the site while waiting for that beast of a thread to load up.
That actually has nothing to do with the website, but because of all the youtube embeds that are typically on a single page. As far as fetching the post content from the database, there's no reason for it to be slower than any other multi-page thread.
