Welcome to the
47th 60 Minute Song Creation Contest!

There are still some faint signs of life as we watch them repeatedly try to resuscitate this tired, worn old out contest...all the while secretly wondering who has been left the master tapes in the will.

Even with a pretty big extension, we only have 4 entries for you this week! But obviously a big thanks to all who entered, it's always great to have a good mix of tracks to listen to. Fingers crossed for next week!

Eukos - pretty simple yet creepy entry! not what I expected anyone to do for this theme, welcome to the contests by the way.

but yeah nicely done this made me picture people walking around here in some post-apocalyptic film. Hope you enter next week!
Nickson - This is a great tune! the voice sample made me laugh. really slick track, and I love the synths towards the end. great stuff
Stan Pennant - haha what happened here? the PM saying "working in a hospital gave me no advantage" had me intrigued to say the least. the sudden C note at the end made me laugh, is it the music to a patient gradually slipping away and dying?

Nickson gets my vote, easy choice! see you next week guys

eukos' sounds like something out of Sanitarium. love it. scatterbrain's is damn fun and catchy (+ the ending is a great touch)

I'll get in on this next week

Eukos - Good stuff, creepy vibe it has too, could definitely see that working well in a horror film or something.
Scatterbrain - Reminds me of a hospital show theme tune really well, i especially liked the start with the drums and beginning of the music.
Stan - Same as what i said to Eukos really, i could see that fitting well in another theme contest, it doesn't remind me of a hospital much but it's still great, good job everyone!

Eukos - very creepy. agreeing with scatterbrain, i thought it had more of a creepy abandoned place kind of feel to it.

Nickson - i actually thought this one was like the intro to a tv show. the sirens at the beginning made me think more of a police/crime kinda thing, but the sound effects and the rest of the song fixed that. i couldn't tell if the end was supposed to be flat-lining or not. very good entry nonetheless.

Scatterbrain - this one sounded awesome. the way it gets faster and more frantic. and then the flatline part. it felt like it was following the progress of a patient being brought in.

Stan Pennant - i found this one pretty creepy as well. i had a bit of trouble picturing it as hospital-themed, and more like a creepy town in an old video game.

voted for scat, though nickson was a close second.

136 thread views, at the time of writing, and 9 voters! where are we going wrong?! haha but on another note I got a PM from BRYCE of all people with a suggestion for a future theme so that was a surprise - who's in next week?

me, but i think you should only be allowed to pick a theme if you have actually participated in the contest/ plan on participating, not really fair for us all to be making an effort to make a song just so someone who hasn't can pick a theme

oh no i wasn't suggesting we actually GO with it i was just thinking how odd it is that Bryce has been gone for so long and one of the few peeps we get out of him is a PM suggesting a theme!
