Merry Christmas 3dmm!

I'm out in Thunder Bay, ON visiting family here. I got for Christmas:

A massive towel, socks, shaving cream/aftershave (maca root), these awesome wine glass made out of mason jars, and a pretty cool Christmas sweater.

And some gift cards for like groceries and stuff.

It was a really chill Christmas cause we're pretty poor from our cat and everything, so it was nice to just... not have to stress out about shit.

Good times here. Hope you all doing good too.

we spell it "check" and also I dunno what the stuff in parentheses means, so that might be where the confusion came from. I asked for a bunch of junk food and socks. COOL.

His parents are from the North and therefore cheap so they only gave him a cheque for the price of a coat during the post-Xmas sales and not for the full price.

I'll be staying in Chennai, but my friend who I'm going with has talked about going to Goa for a day or two, it sounds pretty insane. Also thanks Evan! I'm really excited, I've never really gone anywhere with an especially different culture before.

And I'm only near the end of sequence 2 but yeah, AC3 is fucking boring so far. I assume it gets better when you start playing as the actual main character and not his dad, but atm they're really piling it on with the cutscenes.

and yeah, india trip sounds awesome, it's high on my list of places to visit, too. I've been to sri lanka and the best advice I can give is practice walking in a sauna with clothes on. that's the type of endurance you need in the subcontinent.

Stereotypically, people from the north of England are wiser (or meaner) with their money. It's mildly offensive, but as I have two northern parents I'm allowed to say it. Because of this, we're never allowed clothes for Christmas - they all go down in price in the Sales a few days later so we're made to wait.

Sounds dumb and unfunny now I've explained it.

Oh and books on film are just books whose subject matter is film. In this case, French cinema and Emeric Pressburger.
