Obama vs. Romney

The 2012 general election is around the corner, so I figure it's time to open a thread about it hooray.

There are a few general sentiments about Obama and Romney floating around, so let's talk about them in a way only us 3dmmers can. You know what I mean. Angry Andres and angry Evan and angry Zaquis and angry everybody else.

So, Obama's first term: A success or failure? Maybe just okay? What do you think?

Romney's platform: Brilliant? Bullshit? Vapid? Let's hear it!

I'll post my feelings a bit later when some people have replied!

It's like a double cheeseburger at mcdonalds or burger king, they both suck.

I view Obama as the lesser or two evils. He seems OK on domestic issues... and I am really unsure how much he is to blame for the still anemic economy.

Nothing's going to change in the middle east, whomever we elect.

Romney is the embodiment of the 1%. I have no idea what his beliefs are, since he flip-flops whenever it's politically convenient. So I suspect he has no beliefs. He's really like the perfect android politician.

What congressional district are you in? Also, local elections and ballot propositions if there are any.

I feel like a lot of liberals/left leaning people are planning on voting third party, and all that's going to do, (if anything)is split the votes and get Romney elected

Obama turned out to be quite terrible and made me loose any faith in a good nearer future for the United States.

If every person eligible to vote (I think in 2008 it was something like 68% of eligible voters voted, and it's projected to be much lower this time around) that may be able to swing some states and swing an election!
