for the record, i neither dislike nor like jame champman. i think its hard for girls to fit in on the internet because i think the internet is basically a very extreme example of male culture and i think male & female culture are very different in many ways. like, when chicks hang out with other chicks, the whole dynamic is totally different than when dudes hang out with other dudes. the internet takes the dude dynamic and kicks it up to the 10000th degree. i think its really difficult for chicks to "click" with a dynamic so radically opposed to what they're (presumably) used to, so most chicks on the internet either
A) sorta become "one of the guys" and tolerated, at best
B) are ostracized
C) end up leaving after a period of time because they find the dynamic weird and unsatisfactory
D) become some sort of fair maiden that all the lonely dudes on the internet feel the need to constantly defend the honor of so that she's really not even a member but just some kind of ideological conceit

I mostly agree with what you just said except for the generalization of "the internet". Perhaps true in the (unsurprisingly) mostly-male communities that you and I would frequent, but there are VERY girly corners of "the internet" I'm damn sure.

It's not totally fair however, since I don't necessarily act particularly girly or anything. And I try not to act like I'm 'trying to fit in' or anything. Although I can see it comes across that way, I guess.

BR, I don't know why you don't like me. What was it about that post that annoyed you in particular? You just seem like a really angry, self obsessed guy who is maybe just really bored with life. If you aren't any of these things, then maybe work on the way you come across? You shouldn't have to try to like someone, so don't.
